Salman Khan and Kabir Khan are reportedly teaming up for a film. Sources say it will be a social-drama, a genre the superstar has been inclined to work on.
The yet-to-be-titled project, which was scheduled to roll in October, will now begin this June, reported the Asian Age. Salman is looking at wrapping up "Sultan" shoot by May as he will not be able to give time to it June onwards.
"Salman will be giving more time to Sultan and finish the shoot in May because after this he has to start Kabir Khan's next as that releases on Eid next year," an insider told the leading daily. The cast and crew were to jet off to another country for a song shoot, but due to lack of time they have now settled with locations in and around Punjab.
Even though the news of the actor-director joining hands for the third time — they worked in "Ek Tha Tiger" and "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" — isn't confirmed yet, Kabir said he would definitely make another film with the 50-year-old actor.
"I share a comfortable working relationship with Salman. Moreover, after two major hits, I am definitely going to make another movie with him," he told IANS and added that he was working out details of a project with Hrithik Roshan as well.
In other news, "Sultan" is a welcome departure from what Salman has indulged in over the past few years ("Bajrangi Bhaijaan" is an exception). He has ditched the usual song-dance-action routine for a role that will see him essay the life of a wrestler based out of Haryana.
Although the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial falls in the action-drama category, it also features a romantic angle. Anushka Sharma, who has trained with professional wrestlers for her role in film, plays Salman's love interest.
