Bollywood actress Chitrangda Singh did not appear on the silver screen for a long time, hence she was excited to feature in debutant Rajesh Nair's flick. But, the actress later turned down the offer as she reportedly didn't want to star opposite Arbaaz Khan.
Chitrangda wanted to share screen space with Randeep Hooda in the film, "Kalpanik," which will be produced by Samir Ingle (financer of "Tanu Weds Manu") and written by Amit Khan, SpotboyE reported. According to the reports, the actress rejected the offer after learning that the makers had finalised Salman Khan's brother Arbaaz as the leading actor.
Now, it will be interesting to see how Salman will react when he will come to know about Chitrangda refusing to work with his brother. The actress has often been spotted horse-riding in Salman's Panvel farmhouse and she also has many of the actor's paintings. Hence, it proves that the duo shares a good bond, but this news might not go down well with Salman.
Earlier, Salman was miffed with Priyanka Chopra for turning down Sohail Khan's "Main Aurr Mrs Khanna." Will he forgive Chitrangda for rejecting "Kalpanik"?
The makers confirmed that Chitrangda would not be a part of the project, however they disagreed that Arbaaz was the reason behind her turning down the offer. "I am really not interested what happens behind the scenes. What matters to me is the end result. Yes, Arbaaz is doing my film and Chitrangda is not doing it. But I think she had a problem with her dates, they weren't matching Arbaaz's dates," Samir told SpotboyE.
As mentioned earlier, Chitrangda did not appear on the big screen for a long time and at this point, she might be willing to bag a movie, so "date issue" excuse isn't convincing. However, writer Amit, who had approached Chitrangda for the role in the first place, also denied that Arbaaz was the reason behind her rejecting the project. "I don't think that Arbaaz is the reason. Yes, Chitrangda said no to 'Kalpanik.' It's possible that she didn't like the project," Amit told the web portal.
