LeEco, formerly known as LeTV, has released few devices this year, including the Le 1s Eco, Le Max 2 and Le 2, but it is reportedly planning to launch a flagship device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 processor. It may happen before Samsung releases its Galaxy Note 6 (aka Note 7) with the new processor.
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer's yet-to-be-named device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 823, reported GizmoChina, citing Chinese media. If it turns out to be true, the device will be the first to have the new processor. It went on to say that the handset could be released at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Shanghai, which will be held from June 29 to July 1.
It may be mentioned that LeEco was the first mobile phone maker to introduce Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor through its Le Max Pro, which was released in February this year. Others devices, including the Galaxy S7, Xiaomi Mi 5, LG G5 and HTC 10, which have the same processor, came later.
It has been reported that the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 or Galaxy Note 7 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 processor, an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 820, but it is expected to be released only in August like its predecessor, the Galaxy Note 5.
The report by GizmoChina also claimed that the upcoming LeEco flagship would come with feartures like an 8GB RAM, Adreno 530 GPU, and a 24MP main camera. However, it is not confirmed yet.
