Latest reports suggest that Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor has not been finalised for the female lead in Sooraj Barjatya's upcoming film starring Salman Khan.
It was earlier said that Kareena, who last shared screen space with Salman in 2011 superhit film "Bodyguard", was roped in for the untitled film, on his recommendation.
But now, a source close to the project brushed off the rumours saying that the film's makers are yet to decide on an actress to play Salman's love interest.
"There is no truth in it. We have not finalised anyone yet. Lot of speculation is happening over who the heroine will be but we are yet to finalise things. In a month's time, we would decide," the source said, according to Press Trust of India.
Apart from Kareena, several A-list actresses including Katrina Kaif, Ilena D'Cruz, Anushka Sharma and Parineeti Chopra were said to have been considered for the role.
The film is said to go on floors in June 2014. The makers have decided to shoot a majority of the sequences in India, mainly in Mumbai, Gujarat and Rajasthan.
The film will mark Salman and Sooraj's reunion after a gap of 14 years. They last worked together for 1999 family drama "Hum Saath Saath Hain" which also starred Saif Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Tabu and Sonali Bendre.
