The film adaptation of Amish Tripathi's best-selling novel "The Immortals of Meluha" may have found Tiger Shroff as its male lead.
The film's producer, Karan Johar is considering the newcomer actor in the role of Lord Shiva over Hrithik Roshan, according to a DNA report. It should be pointed out that until now Hrithik Roshan's name was doing rounds for this particular role in the mythic fiction. The 40-year-old was considered as an apt choice for his Greek God looks and lucid dancing qualities.
But Shroff, whose debut film is yet to release, seems to have impressed Johar largely with the trailer and promotions of "Heropanti". Moreover, the youngster has self-confessed as a strong devotee of Shiva, which would work smoothly for the role in the film. He recently even took a trip to Varanasi to seek divine blessings for the success of his first film.
It should be noted that Roshan had opted out of Johar's ambitious project "Shuddhi' earlier this year leaving the filmmaker in a fix. Despite months' long speculations, the film is yet to find its perfect cast. And thus, there is a possibility for this news to come true as the producer might want to avoid a similar situation yet again with his new project.
"The Immortals of Meluha" to be produced by Johar's Dharma production will be directed by "Agneepath" (2012) director Karan Malhotra. Initially it was speculated that "Shuddhi" which is also to be directed by Malhotra, is a remake of this popular novel. But the makers had later denied the reports.

Along with Roshan, Vidya Balan's name was also in consideration for the female lead of Princess Sati in the film. But with Shroff's name coming up, surely a different female lead would be sought.
It has also been reported that Shroff's "Heropanti" producer, Sajid Nadiadwala has signed the newcomer for two more films, among which, one is expected to be a romantic comedy entertainer where he is set to pair up with Alia Bhatt.
By the looks of it, the young star son is already scoring big even before the release of his debut project. "Heropanti" starring the actor along with Kirti Sanon is set to for release on 23 May.
