Farhan Akhtar and Kareena Kapoor's upcoming film, "Bombay Samurai" is likely to have Bollywood's Greek god Hrithik Roshan make a special appearance.
The buzz is that producers of the film, Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani are keen to have Roshan on board and has apparently asked the writer-director Dev Benegal to create a small window for Roshan in the movie.
Farhan's Excel Entertainment has earlier roped Roshan for a cameo in Zoya Akhtar's "Luck By Chance". Both Farhan and Roshan had also featured in 2011 release "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara", which was produced by Excel Entertainment as well.
"Excel Entertainment's Ritesh Sidhwani and actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar are keen on including Hrithik in the project. Dev is now writing a role for Hrithik, let's see how it will work out." a source told Mid Day.
Incidentally, if things go on well, with "Bombay Samurai", Roshan and Kapoor will be sharing the screen space after a gap of 11 years.
The duo were last seen together in Sooraj Barjatya's 2003 release "Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon", which bombed at the box office. They also featured previously in "Yaadein,", "Mujhse Dosti Karoge!" and "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham".
During the shoots of "Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon", when rumours of Roshan and Kapoor's alleged link-up started making rounds, the stars apparently chose not to appear together.
Interestingly, a few months back both Roshan and Kapoor made the headlines when they were announced as the lead actors in Karan Johar's upcoming flick, "Shhuddhi". But, later both the of them opted out of the project citing health issues.
Though "Bombay Samurai" would not have them romance each other, the fact that the sizzling couple would feature in a movie together will definitely be a treat for the fans who longed to see them together.
"Bombay Samurai" is a thriller movie and brings in an unusual pairing of Farhan and Kapoor. The film also has top actors like Kalki Koechlin, Abhay Deol and Akshaye Khanna in pivotal roles.
