Silambarasan is back with his latest movie Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada, which is all set to hit the screens on Friday, 11 November. The actor has collaborated with Gautham Menon with whom he had delivered a blockbuster in the form of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa in 2010.
Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada is coming at a crucial stage for Simbu, who is badly in a need of a hit at the box office. After Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, the actor has not had a major hit to his credit and this has become a cause of worry to his fans.
Simbu has been out of action in the major part of the last six years as he just had five releases, which is shockingly very low for an actor of his age. A star of his league will be generally part of at least 12-16 movies.
His competitors like Dhanush and Jeeva have acted in 16 and 15 films, respectively, in the same period and part of a few successful films, which is not the same in the case of Simbu.
The industry insiders are of the opinion that Simbu lost focus after Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa. During the period, he broke up with Hansika Motwani and this apparently had some impact on his career.
Some of his much-hyped movies like Osthe and Podaa Podi bombed at the box office. Later, he pinned high hopes on Vaalu, which took three years to complete. However, the actor returned with Idhu Namma Aalu with his ex-girlfriend Nayanthara.
Unfortunately, Idhu Namma Aalu failed to give him much-needed him a break. Now, the industry is curiously looking forward to see whether Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada helps him to return to his good form.
Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada has Manjima Mohan playing the female lead. The action-romantic entertainer has AR Rahman's music.
