Wickedleak's quad-core Wammy Titan II phablet will receive the Android Jelly Bean 4.2 update on 12 April, said the company.
Wammy Titan II, the upgraded version of Wammy Titan, was launched early March. The update was rolled out earlier than expected as the company had said that the phablet will get the new OS update in the coming months.
The new update will come with several improved and new features which include enhanced camera and typing features, Google Now, GPS Info with Pictures synced with Camera and swipe/gesture typing and more. Regarding the specifications of the device, Wammy Titan II sports a 5.3-inch IPS display with 960 x 540 resolution pixels.
The smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz MediaTek's MTK 6589 quad-core processor and comes with PowerVR SGX 544 GPU. It runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS out of the box.
Other specifications include 1GB of RAM, internal memory of 4GB which is expandable up to 32GB through microSD card slot, 12-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, Bluetooth, WIFI, GPS and microUSB. The handset is powered by a 2,300 mAh which the company claims gives battery life upto five days.
The smartrphone is priced ₹13,990. The update came a few days after Micromax announced the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update for its Canvas 2 A110 phablet.
