Indigenous technology start-up company WickedLeak has released an affordable voice-calling Android tablet, dubbed Wammy Ethos Tab 3, in India.
The new tablet sports a 7.0-inch IPS screen with 1024x600p display resolution and runs on the v4.2 Jelly Bean OS, powered by a quad-core CPU with PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU.
Other stipulated features include 1GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB), 5.0-megapixel main camera, 2.0-megapixel snapper on the front and a high-capacity 3600 mAh battery, which can provide back up for close to one week under standby mode.
On the connectivity front, it boasts 3G network support, dual-SIM slots, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS with Google Maps application for navigation.
As of now, Wammy Ethos Tab 3 can be purchased at the company's official online store for ₹10,990.
With a near-₹10,000 price-tag, the new WickedLeak tablet will give a stiff challenge to market leader Samsung's mid-range Galaxy Tab 3 series. It will also be competing with the popular Google Nexus 7 (2012), Lenovo Idea Tab A3000, Asus Fonepad, HCL ME Connect 3G and many more.
