WickedLeak expanded its Wammy Passion portfolio with another smartphone called Wammy Passion Z.
The big-screen Wammy Passion Z smartphone is now up for pre-orders on the company's official website with a price tag of ₹14,990.The company will start rolling out the device from 15 June. The phablet boasts a 5-inch full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and comes with scratch resistant Dragon Trail Glass. It is powered by a 1.2GHz Cortex A7 quad-core processor and packs 1GB of RAM along with an internal storage of 4GB which is expandable up to 64GB through a microSD card slot.
On the connectivity front, the smartphone supports 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. It measures 8.9mm thick and weighs 150g. The phablet runs on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean operating system and hosts a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, BSI sensor and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The device is backed by a 2,500 mAh battery.
Considering the price, the smartphone is expected to be an opponent to Celkon Signature A119Q HD and Micromax Canvas HD which are also priced in the same range. Wammy Passion Z may also have to compete with the other 5-inch smartphones in the domestic market.
Wammy Passion Z's predecessor, Wammy Passion Y, also sports a 5-inch HD IPS multi touch capacitive touchscreen display with 1280x720 pixel resolution backed by a 1.2 GHz quad core MediaTek MT6589 processor. It had recently received the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update. Other specifications include an 8-megapixel rear-camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calling, 1GB RAM and 4GB of internal memory.
