Ace director SS Rajamouli, who is busy shooting for "Baahubali: the Conclusion", has reportedly refused to supervise the arrangements for the foundation ceremony of Amaravati, the new capital of Andhra Pradesh.
It is reported that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu wanted Rajamouli to supervise the venue decoration and other arrangements for the foundation ceremony. The CM had also sent a team to discuss the same with the director.
Rajamouli is currently busy with scripting, selection of new cast and erecting sets for the filming of "Baahubali: the Conclusion". The director reportedly declined the CM's offer, citing busy schedule with the pre-production of the film. But the actual reason for rejecting the proposal is that the Baahubali director does not want to get involved in a political event, reports said.
A grand set is getting ready for the foundation ceremony of Amaravati, which will be held at 12.45 pm on 22 October, the auspicious day of Vijaydasami. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be attending the event as the chief guest and will lay the foundation stone on the occasion.
The foundation ceremony of Amaravati will be handled by Wizcraft and is set to be a historic event. Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, other ministers from Japan and Singapore, Union Ministers of India, Governors and CMs of other States will grace the occasion.
Chandrababu Naidu has maintained a very good relationship with celebrities from the Telugu film industry. He has reportedly sent out invitations to all the leading stars of Tollywood and many celebs including 'power star' Pawan Kalyan are expected to be present on the occasion. The three-hour programme will also include some cultural events besides the screening of a film on Amravati and Chandrababu Naidu's vision for the capital.
