There has been a certain mystery around Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan's daughter Shweta Bachchan's life. She has always remained away from the limelight of the showbiz until a couple of years ago when she stepped into the world of fashion by launching her fashion label MxS with designer Monisha Jaising. She also launched her debut novel "Paradise Towers" which became one of the best-selling fiction books. But people have always wondered why Shweta had been living with her parents in Mumbai and not with her in-laws and husband Nikhil Nanda.
Shweta Bachchan had married Nikhil Nanda in 1997 and have two children - daughter Navya Naveli Nanda and son Agastya Nanda. But over the past few years, Shweta's stay at her parents place have made people curious to know about what's happening in her life.
There had been multiple reports floating in the industry that Shweta Bachchan is separated from her husband which prompted her to stay with her parents. Some reports also suggested that the Bachchan family didn't opt for a divorce since it could harm their reputation and managed to keep things under wraps. However, there hasn't been any kind of evidence that would confirm these floating claims.
Curious case of Shweta Bachchan-Nanda
Interestingly, Shweta's Instagram is full of pictures clicked with her daughter, her son, her brother Abhishek Bachchan, sister-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, father Amitabh Bachchan and mother Jaya Bachchan. But there's not a single picture of her posing with her husband.
So what kept Shweta away from her in-laws and husband? There could be several reasons which we can assume that must've promoted her to stay with her parents. There could be a possibility that
1 - She might not be getting along with her husband Nikhil Nanda.
2 - She might not be getting along with her in-laws.
3 - She might have thought of taking care of her parents in their old age.
4 - She might not be liking Delhi's weather.
5 - She might have thought of building her career in showbiz since Mumbai is the home of the entire Bollywood industry for several decades.
Rumours have always suggested that something has gone wrong between Shweta Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and had been giving cold shoulder to each other. But the two squashed the rumours when they were seen happily dancing with each other at Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's wedding reception.
It looks like the mystery about Shweta Bachchan's will unfold only if the latter decides to talk about it. Till then, let's wait and watch.
