Salman Khan finally confirmed that Dabangg 3 is going to be released next year, but it seems like the third instalment of the franchise is completely being taken away from Arbaaz Khan.
With the completion of eight years of Dabangg, Salman took to Twitter to inform that Dabangg 3 will hit the screens next year. "Aaj 8 saal Ho Gaye Dabangg Ko... thank u for all the appreciation and love from Rajjo and Chulbul Pandey...see u in #Dabangg3 next year [sic]," he tweeted.
While the first two installments of the series were produced under Arbaaz Khan Productions, and Dabangg 2 was directed by him, Dabangg 3 will reportedly not have Arbaaz as neither producer nor director.
The news of Arbaaz being replaced by Prabhu Deva as director of Dabangg 3 was confirmed long back, latest reports suggest that the film might not be produced under Arbaaz Khan Productions but under Salman Khan Films.
"Salman and Arbaaz are yet to decide which production house will bankroll the film. The brothers have not been able to have a meeting regarding this owing to Salman's hectic schedule. They intend to sit down and pursue a discussion once he gets some time off from the shoot of Bigg Boss and Bharat," Mid-Day quoted a source as saying.
"From the marketing perspective, SKF has long standing deals with multiple parties, which will allow Dabangg 3 to be promoted and marketed widely," the source added.
Both the first two parts of the franchise were box office hit under Arbaaz Khan's production, but it is little baffling to see Salman removing his brother from both director as well as producer's seat for Dabangg 3.
