Salman Khan has actively taken part in the editing of "Hero", which stars Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty. Apart from shortening the film by 30 minutes, Salman Khan also reportedly chopped off a kissing scene from one of the songs of the film.
Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty reportedly had a "brush of the lips" in the song "Khoya Khoya", but Salman Khan had said that the film should not feature any lip-lock scene.
"It was just a peck, a brush of the lips. But even before I could see it, Salman did, and insisted on editing it out. His argument was that in all these years, he had never kissed on screen, so there was no reason for his 'children' to lock lips," Mumbai Mirror quoted director Nikhil Advani as saying.
Salman Khan, who is the producer of "Hero", has been acting as Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty's mentor, and the superstar wants the director to create a larger-than-life film for the two debutants.
"He wanted a larger-than-life film. He was launching two new faces and wanted to give them the platform he had got. He told me we have to emulate the scale of 'Salaam-e-Ishq' in terms of music and grandeur," added Nikhil Advani.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan shared the full song, "Khoya Khoya", from "Hero" on Twitter. Watch the video of the song below:
