Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is known for his talkative, energised, outspoken behaviour. But it is said that he has recently gone on silent mode on the sets of his upcoming film "Bajirao Mastani".
Ranveer, who is playing the character of Peshwa Baji Rao in the period drama, has an intense role to play which is unlike his other characters that he has been playing since the beginning.
To be in the skin of his intense character, the "Dil Dhadakne Do" actor has chosen to be quiet in real life as well.
"Since his character is intense, Ranveer keeps a low profile on the sets. Even when he is not facing the camera, he works on his dialogue, and prepares for his scenes. He does that because he wants to stay in character," the Hindustan Times quoted a source as saying.
Interestingly, apart from keeping a low profile, he also uses sign language to communicate with the cast and crew on the sets. "He communicates with his staff using sign language on the sets. His team is surprised to see him so quiet," the source further said.
While the shoot of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus is still in progress, the actors are working hard to make it a success.
However, despite their serious work, they are also enjoying the shoot, especially the food.
Bhansali's sets are famous for good food and the director makes sure of changing menus every week. Recently, he treated his team with lavish meals which they called it 'Mahabhoj'.
"Apart from arranging a huge spread of food for the crew on the sets of Bajirao Mastani, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has also been getting food from his own house for his assistants. Their "mahabhoj" is something the entire set looks forward to, as they gather together for every meal," The Indian Express quoted an insider.
"Bajirao Mastani", starring Ranveer, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, is set to hit the theatres on 18 December.
