Most A-listed actresses of Bollywood have worked with Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, bu Katrina Kaif has never been offered a film by the leading production house, except for an item number in "Agneepath".
However, her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor has worked in two successful films, "Wake Up Sid" and "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani", produced by Karan.
According to a report in DNA, Karan is looking to finalise the star cast for his next venture after his much-anticipated "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil", starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir and Anushka Sharma.
Karan requires two actresses for his new project, which he will direct as well. Both the actresses will play estranged sisters and the filmmaker has reportedly zeroed in on Anushka as one of the leads.
While rumours have been doing the rounds that Katrina has been signed in as the second lead actress, a source close to Dharma Productions denied the same.
"Kjo has his hands full at the moment with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. But he has another script in place that he wants to direct next year. It requires two actresses who will play estranged sisters. Kjo has sounded off Anushka about the same and the hunt for the other actress is still on." a source told the daily.
This would have been Katrina and Anushka's second film after the success of "Jab Tak Hai Jaan".
However, it looks like the "Fitoor" actress will have to wait a little longer to work with the ace director.
Besides "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil", Karan has recently confirmed his next production venture "Kapoor and Sons" starring Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan. He is also busy with Akshay Kumar starrer "Brothers" that will hit the screens on 14 August. The filmmaker will also feature in Ranbir starrer "Bombay Velvet".
