Ace director Farah Khan turns 50 on 9 January and celebrated her birthday with her close friends from the film industry.
While several guests attended the bash, including the cast of her blockbuster "Happy New Year" (HNY) -- Deepika Padukone accompanied by beau Ranveer Singh, Abhishek Bachchan with wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan -- her dear friend Shah Rukh Khan surprisingly was missing from the party.
The absence of the superstar from the party has raised several eyebrows, considering the fact that the superstar and Farah have been close friends for more than a decade now and have worked together in many films including "Main Hoon Na", "Om Shanti Om" and their latest "HNY".
However, SRK's wife Gauri attended the party on behalf of the actor.
Also Shah Rukh, who is quite active on Twitter, hasn't wished Farah yet.
While it is not known as to why the actor chose to give Farah's party a miss, he returned from a long vacation with family in Dubai has been busy with his work commitments since then.
The superstar is currently shooting for Maneesh Sharma's "Fan" and has Rahul Dholakia's "Raees", both lined up for release this year.
On the other hand, Farah has replaced Salman Khan in the extended series of most watch TV reality show "Bigg Boss Halla Bol".
