The 'Phenom' of the WWE, the Undertaker, was spotted in Austin, Texas, on Monday, opening up a major hope of the legend making an appearance in SmackDown Live on Tuesday, scheduled for Houston. It's an approx three hours drive from Austin to Houston.
According to Wrestling News Source, the 51-year-old was snapped having a chat with WWE Producer Kevin Dunn at the backstage of the Frank Erwin Center, the venue of the December 5 edition of Monday Night Raw. The reason why Taker made his appearance at the venue, however, has remained unknown.
Here are some ideas which could have led to this:
Toyota Centre appearance: The Undertaker made his return to SmackDown after a long hiatus on the 900th episode of the weekly running WWE show, just ahead of Survivor Series 2016, that took place November 20. The 'Phenom' could very well re-appear at the 903rd edition of SmackDown Live.
If he does, who will he challenge: Several rumours are doing the rounds that a highly-anticipated fight between Undertaker and current WWE World Champion AJ Styles is on the cards. Many expect that Styles, a former Total Nonstop Action (Impact Wrestling) veteran, is going to face the WWE legend at Royal Rumble 2017, scheduled for January 29 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
Interesting thing is the Undertaker, during his appearance on WWE last month, hinted that he is ready for a match even before WrestleMania 33 and that the WrestleMania pay-per-view (PPV) only doesn't "define" him.
Let all rumours rest: Undertaker, we all know, leaves in Austin, Texas. So it could very well be he was simply visiting a WWE event happening at his home town. It could very well be that the 'Phenom' wanted to meet his WWE colleagues and friends from the Raw brand.
