BrewBudz, a San Diego-based firm named has introduced a range of Cannabidiol (CBD) and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)-infused beverages. The company recreated cannabis-infused range of tea, coffee and cocoa.
The firm is also working towards producing a range of biodegradable cups. These cups are made using coffee bean skin and its bottom is made up of mesh material though it looks like it's made of plastic.
"The coffee bean's skin, which is known as "chafe," comes off when it is processed. Thus, the company uses it to make the cup," as per Jeffry Paul, BrewBudz Vice President, who was quoted by scienceworldreport.com.
For medical cannabis users, 25 mg to 50 mg of CBD is available and for recreational cannabis users 10 mg of THC is made available. The company uses strains of cannabis sativa are in caffeinated tea and coffee and cannabis indica is used in chamomile flavoured tea and nighttime teas.
The product is purely flower-based, i.e. it's just made up of plant mixed with cocoa, tea or coffee. This product will change the ritual of shredding and rolling a weed joint, the consumers can simply have the beverage of their choice and save time as well as the hard work required to roll the joint.
"It's an opportunity to bring together two different rituals in life," said Paul as per a Westword report.
"Drinking coffee or tea is something that's part of your every day....There's also a ritual for marijuana, whether it's medicinal or recreational," he added.
Paul even stated that the medical marijuana patients and the amazing benefits that medical marijuana provides were kept in mind while coming up with these phenomenal products.
Not just this, a company called Foria introduced cannabis-infused tampons to ease the menstrual cramps women suffer from every month. These tampons consisted of THC oil, cannabinoids or CBD oil isolate from organically grown hemp along with cocoa butter. The FDA approval for this product was pending due to lack of proper research regarding the benefits of these tampons that the company claimed.
