Shankar's "I" was released last week for Pongal and now it is time for him to move on to his next project. The speculations on his next flick and who will be the male lead have been doing the rounds for a while now.
Till now, Shankar has remained tight-lipped about it and has also not revealed anything about his next flick. Nonetheless, there have been lot of rumours.
One of the rumours floating on the Internet is about Shankar teaming up with Aamir Khan for a Hindi movie. Bollywood writer Honey Irani revealed it to a leading daily that the director had met her and asked her to write a script for his movie. However, she did not reveal whether Aamir was in the project.
Hrithik Roshan and Amitabh Bachchan's names were also doing the rounds and it was reported that the filmmaker was planning a sequel to his blockbuster "Enthiran".
However, post the Honey Irani interview, we have not heard anything about the project. Prior to this development, there were a lot of buzz that Shankar was finally ready to team up with Ajith for the first time. They reportedly had talks and were game for their first collaboration.
Now, the latest buzz is that Rajinikanth is keen on working with Shankar. After "Kochadaiiyaan" and "Lingaa" failed to live up to his standards, the superstar has called the filmmaker to come up with a storyline for him.
These rumours have generated a lot of buzz and there are strong chances of the duo, who had earlier teamed up for blockbusters like "Sivaji" and "Enthiran", collaborating for the third time.
Meanwhile, Shankar is happy with the performance of "I" at box office. The Vikram and Amy Jackson starrer movie has made stupendous business in India and abroad.
