Salman Khan is all set to work in Sooraj Barjatya's family drama, but the makers are yet to finalise the leading lady of the film.
The latest buzz in tinsel town is that the makers of the film have shortlisted Bollywood actresses Anushka Sharma and Sonakshi Sinha for the female lead opposite the 47-year-old actor.
"We have shortlisted few names and Anushka Sharma is in the wish list. But it's too early to comment anything as the film will go on the floors in 2014. Besides Anushka even Sonakshi Sinha is being contemplated for the role," a source told IANS.
Sonakshi made her Bollywood debut opposite Salman in "Dabangg". They went on to work together in the blockbuster film, "Dabangg 2" which was released last year.
However, Anushka and Salman have not shared the screen till date. It will be her first film with the actor if the the makers of the film sign her.
Meanwhile, the film will be produced under the Rajshri Productions banner and it is set to shot in Rajasthan and Gujarat.
Earlier this month, trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news that Salman has signed up for Sooraj's upcoming film.
"Xclusiv: Just been informed by Rajshri, @BeingSalmanKhan - Sooraj Barjatya film will release in Diwali 2015. Shooting starts in June 2014," he tweeted.
The film is set to go on floors this month and is expected to hit the screens on Diwali 2015.
Salman has worked with Sooraj in three blockbuster films - "Maine Pyar Kiya" (1989), "Hum Aapke Hain Kaun" (1994) and "Hum Sath Sath Hain" (1999).
