"The Vampire Diaries" actress Nina Dobrev sparked speculations that she's dating co-star Chris Wood when she innocently shared online a few pictures of them hanging out together.
Rumours of Dobrev and Wood "hooking up" further gained traction when it was reported that the pair was spotted kissing, and a source told HollywoodLife that the pair was looking to have a good time.
"They are great friends who have hooked up on the recent times they have been out together but they are not currently looking to start a relationship. They are both very cool about it and it has not ruined working with each other or caused any issues," the source said earlier this month.
However, Celeb Dirty Laundry feels that Dobrev is publicising her relationship with Wood so as to keep under wraps her romance with Mark Foster.
"It's all just a smokescreen to hide the fact that Nina is dating Mark, and they're not yet ready to go public and face the intensity of the public's scrutiny," the website claims. Interestingly, the actress was also linked to Ben McKenzie, but he shot down rumours during a recent Elle interview.
"Because I gave Nina Dobrev a hug! The one time I actually didn't hook up with someone…. I'm really shy about that stuff. I really don't like relationships to be played out in public. It creates terrible strain. It creates bizarre dynamics. There's that saying, "Less said about the bedroom, the better," he said.
Dobrev, who essays the role of Elena Gilbert on "The Vampire Diaries," was previously linked to her co-star Ian Somerhalder. They started dating shortly after meeting on the sets in 2009, but called it quits a few years later.
The reason for the split is yet unknown, but Somerhalder appears to have moved on in life and currently he is in a relationship with "Twilight" actress Nikki Reed.
