SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 is now officially the biggest hit at the box office in the history of Indian cinema. The cast and crew members of the two-part film have got global appreciation and every single department has come under the limelight. The massive success has made those who missed the project for some reasons turn green with envy.
That Sridevi opted out of the project over remuneration issues is known to people, but perhaps not as many are aware of a Bollywood singer turning down the offer to sing a track in Baahubali 2. The 53-year-old actress may have failed to sense what was in store as she was approached before the movie hit the floors.
However, the Bollywood singer was obviously aware of the huge success that Baahubali 1 had achieved, and his decision to refuse to be a part of the sequel would come as a surprise to most.
Revealing the news, MM Keeravani, the music director of Baahubali, tweeted, "I wonder why a famous HINDI singer felt insulted and offended when called for a song for BB2 Malayalam. [sic]"
However, MM Keeravani has not revealed the name of the singer, who got offended to sing a track in the Malayalam version of Baahubali 2. People are asking him to name the singer, but does not seem interested to open up on the issue and create unnecessary controversy.
The Malayalam version of Baahubali 2 has five songs, which are sung by Yazin Nizar, Vijay Yesudas, Shweta Mohan and Madhu Balakrishnan. The music director himself has also lent his voice for a track.
