Actress Anjali, known for her critically-acclaimed roles in Tamil and Telugu films, did not attend the press meet of her upcoming film, "Madha Gaja Raja", raising speculations about her whereabouts. [ Update: Anjali Clears Air on Secret Marriage Rumours]
Anjali was expected to attend the press meet of the Tamil film, which has Vishal as the main lead but she did not make it to the event. She was supposed to dub for her portions in the Telugu version of the film but she failed to do so and could not be traced, reported The Times of India.
There are rumours doing the rounds that Anjali has married a prominent politician in Andhra Pradesh. Speculations were also rife that she married a production manager and settled down in the U.S. However, the actress is yet to confirm on the rumours on her personal life.
Anjali has reportedly switched off her mobile phone and there is no information on her whereabouts, the news daily reported.
The actress created a stir in April when she claimed that her aunt Bharati Devi harassed her. She went missing from a hotel in Hyderabad before filing a case on her aunt and Tamil film director Kalanjiyam, who introduced her to films with "Sathamintri Muthamidu", which did not get released.
Post her reappearance, Anjali was seen in a cameo in Suriya's "Singam 2". She is also working with Telugu actor Venkatesh in their upcoming film, "Gol Maal."
Anjali is one of the most-talented actresses of south Indian cinema. The bubbly actress has been part of several hit films, including "Engeyum Eppodhum" and Telugu film, "Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu."
