"The Walking Dead" is currently on a break following its explosive Season 6 finale that saw Negan bashing to death a member of Rick's group. Fans will have to wait till Season 7 of the zombie apocalypse drama to know who died, but chances are the identity of Negan's victim might get leaked much before that.
According to the Facebook page of "The Spoiling Dead Fans," filming for Season 7 could either start on April 25 or May 2 and its sources have already noticed some activity in Georgia. For instance, "Do Not Mow" signs have reportedly cropped up at Crook Rd. in Senoia and at Old Griffin Rd & Highway 3 bridge in Hampton. Both these locations were used in the previous season. Also, Tom Payne, the actor who plays Jesus, was spotted around town in Senoia
This has sparked a lot of interest, with many hardcore fans of the series predicting that Negan's victim won't be a part a part of filming process. "And this is how we find out who Negan killed...someone is about to have a short stay in Georgia....or never show up at all," one fan noted, adding that all clues point towards Steven Yeun's Glenn being the victim. One another clue to Glenn being dead on the show is the fact that Yeun will be filming for a different project in Serbia in May.
Addressing the Season 6 cliffhanger, "The Walking Dead" showrunner Scott M. Gimple noted that the reveal will be the start of yet another story. "When we reveal who's on the receiving end, that's going to be the start of another story. The kickback effects from that, what it makes everyone into, how they react, how the world changes for everyone — that's the next part of the story," he was quoted as saying by TVLine.
Meanwhile, show creator Robert Kirkman noted that the victim is beloved to fans.
"The Walking Dead" Season 7 is expected to return to AMC in October.
