Vikram-Shankar's "I," which was slated to hit the screens for Diwali, has been delayed. The film is said to release by November and the exact release date will be finalised in a day or two.
The film had been in the making for nearly two years and had been completed recently. It will be a disappointment for Vikram-Shankar fans who have been looking forward for the film's release during Diwali. However, Vijay-Murugadoss team will be happy as there will be no box office clash between "Kaththi" and "I."
"I" shooting has been wrapped up and the post-production work is going on in full swing. Since the makers are planning to have a simultaneous release for Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions, the post-production work will apparently not be completed before Diwali. Currently, the dubbing process for Hindi and Telugu versions are underway.
"We are sparing no efforts to make sure the film is world class. Dubbing work on both the Telugu and Hindi versions are on. Dubbing for the Hindi version is almost done. The dubbing work on the Telugu version will be completed in the next 10-15 days," producer Aascar Ravichandran told The Times of India.
"Simultaneously, AR Rahman is also working on the re-recording of the film. The film will be out by November end. We will finalise the exact date of release in a day or two," he said.
"I" will reportedly have two premieres – one in the US and the other will be in Singapore. Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone will reportedly take part in the US premiere.
The Vikram starrer has generated huge hype worldwide following the successful audio and teaser launch event.
"Terminator" actor Arnold Schwarzenegger was present for the audio launch along with superstar Rajinikanth and Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar in a grand event held in Chennai last month.

Expectations are sky high for the big budget entertainer as Vikram and Shankar have teamed up for the second time post the success of their 2006-release "Anniyan." The film is touted to be romantic thriller with Vikram and Amy Jackson in lead roles.
