The prestigious 70th annual Cannes Film Festival is set to be held soon and our Bollywood actresses – Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor – are prepping to look at their best. Last year, Katrina Kaif was there in place of Deepika.
Aishwarya and Sonam have become regulars at the Cannes Film Festival. The latest update is that no Indian movies will be screened this year at Cannes. However, fans are waiting to see Deepika making her debut at Cannes as the brand ambassador of an international cosmetic brand.
Talking to Pinkvilla, Deepika said: "We have started planning. There is too much focus on clothes. It should be fun. As a woman, we enjoy being ready and all of that. Clothes are exciting but there is more to it. It is something that my team is working on."
Deepika has been receiving flak from international media over her choice of dresses for a long time. Recently, she was tagged as the worst dressed celeb at Met Gala 2017. Will she be able to prove them wrong at Cannes 2017? One has to wait to know that.
