Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are the no-noise couple who prefer to go silent about their relationship in the media. But, after the Delhi dasher hit a ton against Australia (Melbourne test match, December, 2014) he immediately took off his helmet to blow kisses in his ladylove's direction.
What's interesting here is, the "NH10" actress may have put on a smile on her face then, but she was actually embarrassed to be the centre of attention for the fleeting moment.
"No, I just felt embarrassed. My brother still makes fun of me. I was embarrassed ya. It's a stadium and people were turning around and looking at me. I felt shy," Filmfare quoted her as saying.
While everyone cheered Virat for his gritty knock at test series, all hell broke loose when the sports star failed to perform at the crucial World Cup semi final match against Australia on 26 March. Peppered with trolls and memes, Anushka had suddenly turned into an eye sore for almost every cricket lover.
But she's not the one to sit back and absorb the hatred. Taking excerpts from her latest release "NH10" in which she is seen hurling abuses along with screenshots of hate posts, a video was uploaded on the film's official YouTube Channel.
"The baggage of his relationship in the media is something else. If he scores well, it's attributed to me, if he doesn't play well, it's because of me. I'm blamed for everything. I don't understand. But all this doesn't harm our relationship. I wouldn't be with someone if we were not on the same wavelength," she further explained.
Anushka will be next seen in Zoya Akhtar's "Dil Dhadakne Do" alongside alleged ex-boyfriend Ranveer Singh. Slated to release on 5 June, the film also stars Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Anil Kapoor, and Shefali Shah in significant roles.
