Sonam Kapoor, who had impressed fans with her performance in "Neerja," has said that she has no qualms about going bald on screen. The actress has revealed that she was approached for movies that required her to shave her head but those films did not materialise for some reason.
"I would love to go bald for a film. I have a nicely shaped head. It would look good if I went bald," Sonam told DNA when asked if she would be ready to go bald for any of her movies.
Sonam also disclosed that directors like Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra and Sanjay Leela Bhansali had approached her for films that would have required her to go bald and that she was ready for the same.
"Before he approached my brother Harshvardhan, Rakeysh was supposed to do 'Mirziya' with me. He had asked me if I would go bald in the film and I had said 'yes, of course.' Even Sanjay had wanted me to make 'Saraswati Chandra' with me and he had asked me if I would go bald in it and I had said yes again, but both films didn't happen. So, every time I was supposed to go bald for a film, the film didn't happen," the "Khoobsurat" actress said.
Several Bollywood actresses have gone bald on screen earlier, including Shabana Azmi, Lisa Ray, and Antara Mali. Sonam will next be seen in her sister Rhea Kapoor's upcoming movie titled "Veere Di Wedding." Apart from Sonam, the movie will also feature Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania.
