Simbu turned emotional at the audio launch function of "Inimey Ippadithan" when he opened up on his frustration that he has been bottling up for the last two years.
From losing his love (Hansika Motwani) to having no releases, Silambarasan's personal life and career saw a lot of ups and downs.
He also spoke about making way for Ajith's "Yennai Arindhaal", which caught audience's attention. Gautham Menon had started "Achcham Yenbathu Madamaiyada" with Simbu before he halted the movie to work on the Ajith starrer.
Simbu had not had a release for over 18 months and the delay made things worse. But as the actor shares a good relationship with the filmmaker and loves Ajith, he agreed with Gautham Menon's decision to go ahead with "Yennai Arindhaal".
However, Simbu's father was not happy about Gautham Menon's decision. But Ajith convinced him that his son would bounce back soon.
"Gautham told me that he'd like to take up Ajith's film during the 'Achcham Yenbathu Madamaiyada' shooting. He said (sic) me that he will-re-start my film once he finishes off 'Yennai Arindhaal'. I agreed to it because he stood by me when I was in trouble," Silambarasan said at the music release.
"People had told him not to cast me in 'Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa', still, he believed in me and he offered me that film. But my dad wasn't happy when Gautham Menon decided to go ahead with Ajith sir's film. But Thala himself met my dad and told him that I will bounce back," he added.
Meanwhile, Simbu is getting ready for the release of his next film "Vaalu". The much-delayed Tamil movie will finally release on 22 April and features the actor's ex-girlfriend Hansika Motwani in the lead.
