Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan are now blessed with three children, but during the birth of their first son – Aryan Khan, the actor had feared that his wife would die.
In an old interview with Rediff, Shah Rukh had narrated how Gauri was so sick during Aryan's delivery that the actor thought he would lose his wife.
"I have lost my parents in hospitals, so I don't like being in hospitals. And Gauri is quite fragile, and I have never seen her fall really sick, or seen her unwell. When I saw her in the hospital, they had put in tubes and stuff. And she was becoming delirious and she was really cold. I went with her to the operation theatre for her Caesarean. And (takes a deep breath) I thought she would die," SRK had said.
The Zero actor further said that he was not bothered about the baby at that moment, and all his concern was with the well-being of Gauri.
"Didn't even think about the kid at that point in time. It wasn't important to me. She was shivering so much and I know logically that you don't die while giving birth to babies. But still. I just got a little scared," he added.
During the same interview, the superstar also revealed why he chose to name his first son Aryan. "We just named him Aryan. I don't know. I just liked the sound of the name. I thought when he tells a girl ki my name is Aryan. Aryan Khan, she'll be really impressed," he said.
After Aryan, Gauri gave birth to their daughter Suhana, and then the power couple became parents to their third son – AbRam through surrogacy.
On the work front, Shah Rukh's latest release Zero failed to create much impact at the box office. The actor is now going to start prepping for his two upcoming movies – Saare Jahan Se Accha and Don 3.
