Varun Dhawan got the surprise of his life when "Fast and Furious 7" star Dwayne Johnson wished him on his birthday. Although it was a few weeks ahead of the young actor's special day (24 April), he appreciated the warmth shown to him by the overseas star.
The Rock ringed in his 43rd birthday on 2 May, and the "ABCD 2" star didn't forget to return the favour.
"@TheRock happy birthday big man. My inspiration the most electrifying man in all of entertainment (sic)," he tweeted, and Johnson thanked him back writing, "Thank you bud! And thank you India for all the birthday love."
However, this isn't the first time that the two are interacting on the micro-blogging site. Varun's impersonation of his idol on "Comedy Nights With Kapil" while promoting "Main Tera Hero" last year caught the wrestler-turned-actor's fancy after which he tweeted, "I can't wait to see this! Keep hearing it's amazing. It damn well better be! (sic)."
Quite obviously, this piece of news left Varun thrilled. Talking to The Times of India, he said it was a 'crazy' moment.
"He is my hero. This is the biggest fanboy moment of my life. I have watched him through my childhood. For him to look forward to my work and mention me is crazy. In school, my seniors used to make me imitate him and today, he has acknowledged me."
In other news, Varun is busy shooting for Rohit Shetty's "Dilwale", which also stars Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Kriti Sanon. Additionally, Remo d'Souza's "ABCD 2", which is scheduled for release on 19 June, is keeping the budding star busy.
