Shoojit Sircar's much-anticipated film "Piku", starring megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone, has received a positive response from the audience ever since the trailer was released.
The film also features Irrfan Khan, who plays Deepika's love interest in the film.
However, it has been learnt that during the shooting of "Piku", Deepika and Irrfan got into a conflict while discussing an important scene. The fight soon turned into a heated argument and the two actors began yelling at each other.
"Both Irrfan and Deepika were sitting and discussing an important sequence, when all of a sudden both the actors started yelling at each other," a source told DNA.
The crew member made an effort to sort out the differences between the stars, but failed. The two actors stormed out of the sets into their respective vanity vans, leaving director Shoojit Sarkar and other crew members worried.
However, it turned out to be a prank pulled by both Deepika and Irrfan as they burst out in laughter seeing the tensed faces of the crew members. Realising it was a prank, the director and others heaved a sigh of relief.
"Shoojit and others tried to reason with them, but that didn't work. Both Deepika and Irrfan stormed off and retreated into their respective vanity vans. When they were called for the scene, everyone on the sets was tensed. And seeing the worried faces, the lead pair just burst out laughing. That's when Shoojit and crew realised that it was a well-organised prank by Deepika and Irrfan," the source added.
"Piku" explores the heart-warming relationship of a Bengali father and his daughter. The "Bajirao Mastani" actress plays the title role of Piku, while Big Big is her cranky father. The film will hit the theatres on 8 May, 2015.
