Malayalam actress Bhavana, who has acted in many Tamil films, has said she was offered a role in the forthcoming Tamil movie "Puli" starring Vijay, but could not accept it.
The actress has said she regrets missing an opportunity to work with Vijay.
"More than Puli, I regret missing the opportunity to work with Vijay," Sify quotes the actress as saying.
The actress, who has acted in close to 70 movies, had earlier worked in Tamil movies such as "Chithiram Pesuthadi", "Deepavali" and "Asal".
However, it is not known whether she was offered the female lead role or some other important character in the flick.
Shruti Haasan and Hansika Motwani are playing the female leads in the movie.
"Puli" is one of the biggest movies of 2015 being made with the budget of over ₹100 crore. Apart from Vijay, Shruti Haasan and Hansika Motwani, Kiccha Sudeep and Sridevi Kapoor are featuring in important roles.
The movie is being directed by Chimbu Devan and jointly bankrolled by Shibu Thameens and PT Selvakumar. It is a fantasy-adventure, which has Devi Sri Prasad's music, Sreekar Prasad's editing and Natarajan Subramaniam's cinematography.
The shooting of "Puli" has been completed and Vijay is off to the US on a holiday. The movie will hit screens in September. Prior to its release, the first look (on 22 June) and the audio (15 August) will be released.
