Actor Ranveer Singh is supposed to be one of those celebrities, who do not have much qualms about meeting fans in public but he is certainly not very fond of clicking selfies with them.
Ranveer Singh, who will next be seen in the movie "Bajirao Mastani", said fans try to click photos with him at most weird situations and places, which irritates him a lot.
Narrating one such recent incident, Ranveer said he was clicked by a fan when he was using a restroom in a five star hotel. "I have a lot of patience with people and I am really a people's person. But selfies get very annoying. I would like to do away with this 'selfie ki bimari,'" Hindustan Times quoted Ranveer as saying.
According to the actor, camera phones are responsible for the increasing craze for selfies. "The availability of camera phones has changed the meaning of what it is to be a celebrity. It can get quite intrusive," he said.
Ranveer's upcoming movie "Bajirao Mastani" also features Priyanka Chopra and his rumoured girlfriend Deepika Padukone. While Ranveer and Deepika play the roles of Bajirao and Mastani respectively, Priyanka will be seen as Bajirao's first wife Kashibai.
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film is slated to be released on 18 December; Shah Rukh Khan's "Dilwale" will also hit screens on the same date.
