Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan have never worked together in any movie, but the duo could have shared screen space long back. Akshay had auditioned for a role in Aamir starrer Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, but was rejected by the director.
Akshay had auditioned for the character of the main antagonist in the film that was eventually played by Deepak Tijori. Director Mansoor Khan had rejected the actor.
"Mansoor has forgotten that I was the in-charge of casting as well. There were many actors who were tested for this film. Yes, Akshay Kumar had tested for the film and Nagma was already fixed for the movie. Akshay had given the test in Aamir's garden," Farah Khan, who was the casting director of Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, revealed at JIO MAMI 18th Mumbai International Film Festival, according to Mid-Day.
Aamir was also present at the event and even he was surprised to know about Akshay's audition. The Dangal actor asked Farah about the role for which Akshay had auditioned and the choreographer-cum-director said, "It wasn't your role, but Deepak Tijori's," adding that Mansoor rejected Akshay.
Aamir will next be seen in the movie Dangal that happens to be a biopic on wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat. It also features two newcomers as his on-screen daughters. On the other side, Akshay has a host of upcoming movies including Jolly LLB 2, Crack, Toilet- Ek Prem Katha and Namastey England.
