For Abhishek Bachchan family comes first and then his work. Recently the doting father cancelled his flights tickets when his daughter asked him to stay with her.
Apparently, Jr Bachchan had to travel to Dubai along with other team members to shoot the additional scenes for his upcoming film "Happy New Year".
He was supposed to leave for Dubai with Shah Rukh Khan, but he had to cancel the flight ticket because of his daughter. When Bachchan packed his bags to leave for Dubai, his two-year-old daughter asked him to stay with her as she was feeling lonely.
"This was for the Dubai schedule of Happy New Year and Abhishek had to leave in the morning, for which the tickets were already booked. He packed his bags and when he was about to leave, Aaradhya told him not to go as she wanted him to stay home. A tough choice to make, he rang Shah Rukh and told him that he will take the next flight in the afternoon," a source close to the film told Deccan Chronicle.
"He told him that Aaradhya isn't letting her go and asked if its ok if he can come later in the day. A couple of hours later, a similar thing happend when he was about to step out of the door, the daughter asked him to stay back. Abhishek went ahead and cancelled the second flight as well."
The "Dhoom 3" actor called up SRK again and explained that his daughter wants to be with him. Shah Rukh, who himself gives preference to his children and family, told Bachchan that he understands him and "leaving your kid and going to work" is a terrible thing.
It was only after Bachchan assured Aaradhya that he would finish his work and come back soon she allowed him to go. The production team of the film then booked the third flight in the evening for Bachchan.
"Happy New Year" team is in Dubai again to shoot some additional scenes. The team, except for the lead actors and director Farah Khan, were already in Dubai. Farah along with lead cast including SRK, Bachchan and Deepika Padukone went there recently.
Farah has previously shot some exclusive scenes for the film with lead actors SRK, Padukone, Bachchan, Sonu Sood and Boman Irani last year.
"Happy New Year" is a musical thriller, which is set to release this October. The trailer of the film will release along with Ajay Devgn's "Singham Returns".
