It is well known that superstar Rajinikanth, who was last seen in "Endhiran" (Robot), will be making his comeback to big screen with "Kochadaiiyaan" in 2014.
The magnum opus was expected to release this year, but the post production has apparently delayed the film's release. The film's audio launch was planned for Rajinikanth's birthday on 12 December (today), but the makers pushed the audio release to the first week of January and the film's release date too has been moved to April 2014.
"Kochadaiiyaan" (aka "Kochadaiyaan") has reportedly been made using motion capturing technology in the likes of Hollywood films like "Tin Tin" and "Avatar" where the actors' action sequences are captured and presented in 3D format.
The epic drama has been in the making for more than a year. Apparently, the technical aspects of the film are delaying its release.
While fans are awaiting the film's release, buzz surrounding Rajinikanth's next film has started to rise. Earlier, there were reports that Rajinikanth will be teaming up with acclaimed director KV Anand. But the director termed the report as mere rumours and even announced his new film with Dhanush, who happens to be Rajinikanth's son-in-law. KV Anand and Dhanush have started working on their new film titled "Anegan."
Latest buzz doing the rounds is that Rajini might work with KV Anand in the near future. Reliable sources have informed Behindwoods that the superstar has given his nod to a script that KV Anand has apparently narrated to him. Rajini is expected to confirm the project in the early months of 2014, after the director completes his work on "Anegan," the report further states. The film is expected to be a big budget commercial entertainer.
However, there is no official confirmation from the actor or the director.
Back in June, speculations were rife that Rajinikanth will be working with director Shankar after "Kochadaiiyaan" release. Buzz was that Shankar had narrated a storyline to Rajini and got his approval. But again there has been no official word in this regard.
