After his film "Don 2 - The King is Back" opened to a successful first few days, Farhan Akhtar and his cast have expressed their happiness over the fruit of their efforts, through social media Web sites like Facebook and Twitter.
Lead actor, Shah Rukh Khan, wrote on his Twitter page: "Getting good responses from london...yay! Feels strange the movie has released and we aren't there. But then Don does all things differently." He was referring to the fact that the film released in London (on Dec. 23) two days before it did in India.
The response to the film in India, however, was no less enthusiastic.
"All screenings went well apart from the usual delay. Always happy to see a film finally delivered where it belongs...to the audience..." wrote Shah Rukh Khan.
"Also forgot to say. Patna was so overwhelming. So many ppl & so much love wish could have stayed longer. Lost my heart on the roads of patna," he added.
The actor, who was busy working on two big and ambitious films this year - "Ra. One" and "Don 2 - The King is Back", said he now wanted to spend some time with his family. He announced: "Starting work out...its been months on the road...films done...a few days with kids & at home. Read some &write a bit. Love to u all.'
Meanwhile, one of the film's two female leads, Priyanka Chopra, communicated via a post on her Facebook wall: "Thank u so much guys for all ur overwhelming love on #DON2 wow!! Lemme know what u guys thot of the film..Was amazing at the screenings yesterday!"
She also took the opportunity to announce forthcoming films - "Agneepath", directed by Karan Malhotra and "Teri Meri Kahaani Hai", directed by Kunal Kohli.
"Thank you all so much for your amazing response to Don2! I'm also very glad that you'll are also liking the 2nd Agneepath trailer! I'm back to work..at the shoot for Kunal Kohli," the actress wrote.
The second female lead, Lara Dutta, also took to the Internet. She tweeted: "My best christmas present??? Ur reactions to Don 2!! :-) Thank you!"
The director of the film, Farhan Akhtar, tweeted: "Thank you all.. Our film has taken a super start and your support has everything to do with it... Thanks for the incredible feedback on the film. We're glad to have entertained you... Do keep it coming... Merry Christmas."
The film collected around Rs. 15 crores on its opening day - Friday.
