Celebrities falling prey to fake social media pages is very common these days, and Malayalam actor-director Vineeth Sreenivasan has become the latest victim of it.
The Twitter handle @Vineeth_Sree, which posed as the personal micro-blogging account of the actor, has been very active since 2013. Now, Vineeth has come forward claiming he doesn't have a Twitter account, and has confirmed the active profile with more than 24,700 followers is a fake.
The profile looks convincing, with as many as 57 tweets giving details on Vineeth's movies as well as promoting Nivin Pauly's films, including the upcoming Abrid Shine directorial "Action Hero Biju".
"I don't have a Twitter account.. And i just found out that i have 24,000 followers on Twitter.. the Faker seems to be doing an awesome job.. Now what should i do about u FAKER??, (sic)" Vineeth posted on his personal Facebook page.
The multi-talented artiste, son of versatile actor Sreenivasan and brother of actor Dhyan Sreenivasan, has become a young successful actor, director and singer in the Malayalam entertainment industry.
On the career front, Vineeth, who was last seen in Basil Joseph's comedy entertainer "Kunjiramayanam", has wrapped up the shooting of his upcoming directorial venture "Jacobinte Swargarajyam". The upcoming comedy entertainer is expected to do good business at the Kerala box office as it marks the comeback of Nivin and Vineeth after their hits "Oru Vadakkan Selfie", "Thattathin Marayathu" and "Malarvadi Arts Club".
