Randeep Hooda, who will next be seen sharing screen space with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the upcoming Sarabjit Singh biopic, has said he never had any ambition of working with the former Miss World.
The actor said he is more interested in the directors he would work with than the actors he would share screen space with. "I never had an ambition to act with her (Aishwarya). I only look for roles for me and I work with the director more. In fact, somebody pointed out that we look a lot like brother-sister, which is strange, but anyway it's good," ANI quoted Randeep as saying.
Directed by Omung Kumar, the biopic titled "Sarbjit" will see Randeep playing the role of Sarabjit Singh and Aishwarya will play the character of his sister Dalbir Kaur. Sarabjit Singh was an Indian farmer who spent 22 years in Pakistan prison after being convicted of terrorism and espionage. While Sarabjit was sentenced to death by the Pakistan Supreme Court, he died after being attacked by jail inmates.
Meanwhile, the release date of the biopic has been changed. The movie, which also features Richa Chadha, was supposed to release on 20 May, but will now hit theatres a day earlier, on 19 May. The director took to Twitter and announced the change of release date.
