The upcoming Malayalam movie, Aanandam, has already been tagged as one of the awaited projects of the year despite featuring newcomers. The debut directorial venture of Ganesh Raj also marks the debut production venture of actor-director-singer Vineeth Sreenivasan.

What makes Aanandam special?

Aanandam, set in the backdrop of an engineering college in Kerala, stars seven youngsters in the lead roles - Vishak Nair, Anu Antony, Thomas Mathew, Arun Kurian, Siddhi Mahajankatti, Roshan Mathew and Anarkali Marikar.

The makers of Aanandam have already raised the audience expectations from the campus movie with the release of its fresh and vibrant posters, trailer and songs. The trailer, which shows the students of an engineering college going for an industrial visit, gives a hint that the movie will deal with friendship, romance, fun and fights that happen during college days. The audience expect it to be the next hit campus movie after the Telugu musical entertainer Happy Days, which has been dubbed in multiple languages.

The promotional strategies

The team of Aanandam are trying their level best to target the engineering students in Kerala to flood the theatres as they have been promoting the campus entertainer in almost all the professional colleges in the state. The cast and crew of Aanandam have already promoted the movie at Sahradaya College in Thrissur, ACE Engineering College, College of Engineering, College of Architecture in Thiruvanathapuram, Government Model Engineering College, Thrikkakara and Rajagiri Centre for Business Studies, Kochi. The team was also spotted cheering for the Kerala Blasters team in Kochi on October 9.

Release date

Though the makers haven't announced the release date of the multi-starrer, rumours are rife that the movie will hit the screens on October 21.
