Anushka Shetty has been an actress for over a decade and her popularity until now was more or less restricted to South Indian movies. And then came Baahubali, and rest is history. Anushka Shetty, just like Prabhas, has now come under global attention with SS Rajamouli's two-part series.
After such massive success, new offers come aplenty. While her co-star Prabhas has given his nod for Sahoo, the actress has been choosy in picking up movies. However, Kodi Ramakrishna's Baba Sathya Sai is her next film in which she is said to have done a cameo.
The actress has already given her nod for Bhagmati, a modern day thriller, written and directed by Ashok of Pilla Zamindar fame. Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan will be playing the male lead in the film.
Anushka Shetty has also reportedly given her verbal consent to K Raghavendra Rao's film. Apart from these projects, she has not signed any movie yet. The actress has been working for five years non-stop and wants to take a short break after Bhagmati.
Offers from many big filmmakers, including a few from Bollywood, are said to be coming her way now, but she seems to be in no hurry to accept any film.
Meanwhile, Anushka Shetty's Baahubali 2, which stars Prabhas and Rana Daggubati in the lead roles, is on a record-breaking spree. It has become the biggest box office hit in Indian cinema. It has officially become the highest-grossing movie in Telugu and Hindi.
