Ranveer Singh, like a good boyfriend, joined Deepika Padukone in Bengaluru to support his father Prakash Padukone.
Why? Well, badminton champion Prakash Padukone along with Rahul Dravid launched the Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence, India's premier sports facility in Bengaluru. The inaugural event was in Bengaluru where the couple was spotted.
Guess what happened next.
They clicked a happy selfie! Ranveer posted on his Instagram profile captioning it as: "God of Badminton"
The event also saw Abhinav Bindra, Vishwanathan Anand, Geet Sethi and others present -- and clicked a selfie with Ranveer Singh later.
Deepika Padukone also took to her social media account to post a picture and captioned it as: "Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence[PDCSE]—this is by far the BEST thing that could've happened to Indian Sport! Congratulations! #PrakashPadukone #RahulDravid#VivekKumar [sic.]"
Check out Deepika's speech at the event:
Awww, looks like Ranveer Singh indeed had fun at the event with his girlfriend by his side.
Earlier this year, the former badminton star said that both Ranveer and Deepika are adults and know what they were doing. He further added that as a father, he has given Deepika the freedom to take her own decisions and even, in this case, she was free to decide whatever she wanted to do.
On the professional front, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh will be seen next in Padmavati which is currently facing trouble from CBFC. On the other hand, Ranveer Singh is busy shooting for Gully Boy starring Alia Bhatt.
