It's never too late to catch up on the Christmas cheer and with the big day just ten days away, it might please you to know that this year, of all things, you can decorate your tree with g-strings!
A time for family festivities, the cork, Ireland native Alex Bermingham decided to help her grandmother with Christmas decorations a few days ago.
But instead of going on smoothly with the task, Alex ended up crying with laughter when she realised her beloved grandma's hilarious mistake.

The 44-year-old lady had bought the prettiest looking clear plastic baubles with glittery purples inside – an item fresh out of your Instagram tutorials on festive decorations, pretty much.
But the baubles did make Alex a little confused as the glitter "paint" inside the bauble didn't seem to be what her grandmother was so sure they were.
Upon a closer look, she realised they were actually rather fancy and festively packed g-strings in plastic baubles, hanging on their Christmas tree.
Alex took to Twitter to share the hilarious revelation, saying: "My 74-year-old grandmother bought Christmas baubles in Dunnes Stores, which I have just realised upon decorating her tree that unbeknownst to her upon purchase, they are in fact, lavender glitter G-strings."

Wishing everyone a kinky Christmas this holiday season. pic.twitter.com/saLDl4vcwa
But what was even funnier was alex's grandmother's reaction upon learning the truth about her own slight error in judgement.
Alex said:
She relied with "Jesus Al yer man in the shop must have thought I was very kinky sure I bought six of them". Crying.

And Alex signed her tweet off with: "Wishing everyone a kinky Christmas this holiday season."
This also sparked off a hilarious thread of revelations on Twitter, where people starting posting their personal accounts of similar mistakes with Christmas decorations, especially when it came to their elderly relatives.

I know someone, who, in collusion with his sister (both adult - rest of family unaware of the deed) 'doctored' a Christmas cracker so that when their straight laced old aunt 'pulled it and won' there was a pair of fishnet stockings inside - 'Oh Norman - what strange crackers!'

Another one chimed in, saying: "That's amazing! Made me think of the time my nan was watching 100% sex on channel five and asked me what a blow job was. Told her it was a wash and dry at the hairdressers."
