John Abraham and Shruthi Haasan starrer "Welcome Back" is maintaining well at the box office in its first week. The comedy entertainer is on its way to record the second highest opening week after Salman Khan starrer "Bajrangi Bhaijaan".

"Welcome Back" minted Rs 64.67 crore in five-day of its release in India. The film recorded the second highest opening weekend by crossing Rs 50 crore mark at the domestic box office and now it is all set to be the second highest opening week.
The comedy entertainer would beat the first week box office collection of two Rs 100 crore grosser - "ABCD 2" and "Tanu Weds Manu Returns".
Meanwhile, the film has opened well at the overseas box office as well despite opening with negative reviews. "Welcome Back" has minted Rs21.38 crore $3.21 million in its opening weekend from the domestic box office.
"#WelcomeBack is EXCELLENT in international markets too. Collects $ 3.21 million [₹ 21.38 cr] in its opening weekend," Adarsh added.
At the domestic box office, the film will take time to cross Rs 100 crore mark, but at worldwide box office "Welcome Back" will achieve that mark by its first week.
Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film features Anil Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Nana Patekar, Dimple Kapadia, Shiney Ahuja, Naseeruddin Shah and Sakshi Maggo in pivotal roles.
"Welcome Back" is a sequel to 2007 film "Welcome" starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. The sequel marks the comeback of actor Shiney, who was last seen on silver screen in 2012.
