It is wedding bells for actor Gopichand. The Tollywood star is all set to wed Reshma, who is the niece of another popular Telugu actor Meka Srikanth, in Hyderabad on 12 May.
The star-studded event will take place at the N-Convention Centre in Madhapur, Hyderabad. Besides film personalities, several politicians are expected to grace the occasion. The wedding will be a traditional ceremony to be held on the night of 12th May at 2.16 am.
"Wedding invitations have already been dispatched to everybody in the industry. It will be a star-studded wedding ceremony which will take place at N-Convention Centre. He (Gopichand) is expected to complete all pending work by month (April) end," said a family member of the actor, according to Indo-Asian News Service.
Earlier, there were reports that the actor got engaged to a girl belonging Telugu star Jagapathi Babu's family, but it later turned out to be rumour. Last year, the actor was engaged to Haritha but the wedding was cancelled at the last minute due to some undisclosed reasons.
It seems Gopichand has finally found his perfect life partner. With the marriage, both Gopichand and Srikanth would soon become related to each other. The actors are from a non-filmy background and achieved success through their hard work.
Gopichand began his acting career as a lead hero in the 2001 movie "Tholi Valapu" which was a box office dud. The actor then starred in Nithin's "Jeyam" as a villain. The movie was not just a blockbuster, but also won accolades for Gopichand's performance. He reprised his role in the Tamil version of the same name, which was again a box office hit.
Following his success with negative roles, the actor featured as villain in two other movies - "Nijam" and "Varsham" - before starring as the male lead in "Yagnam". Directed by A.S. Ravi Kumar Chowdary, the romantic-action entertainer was a grand success. Since then, Gopichand has acted in a number of blockbusters -"Ranam", "Lakshyam" and "Souryam." The actor has established himself as a mass entertainer.
His last outing was "Mogudu" with Taapsee Pannu which was released in 2011. Unlike his previous movies, "Mogudu" is a family drama that shows the values of family bonding, love and affection. Gopichand did not have any releases in 2012. Currently, the actor is busy wrapping up his upcoming movie - "Sahasam" - in which he will be pairing with Taapsee Pannu for the second time after "Mogudu."
