Canadian pop singer Avril Lavigne and frontman Chad Kroeger are engaged to be wed. The news came recently after her representatives announced their engagement to People's magazine.
"Their romantic relationship blossomed as they spent time writing together," for her upcoming fifth audio album, Lavigne's friend told the magazine.
Earlier this month, the Nickelback singer proposed to his ladylove with a dazzling 14-carat diamond ring and she accepted.
The couple first met in February after secretly dating for nearly six months did they then decide to tie knot.
"I knew I was falling for her... It was incredibly powerful and something I'll never forget." Kroeger had said about their blossoming romance during a recent interview with Hello! Canada.
A source close to the family told the magazine that "Both of their families could not be more excited... He makes her so happy."
"He makes me laugh every day. He takes care of me in every way and is extremely attentive," Avril had said of her beau in an interview.
Seems that the two make a perfect pair and are absolutely made for each other as said by close pals and family.
"They have the same values and really understand each other," the family source said. "They complement each other and are so happy," the source said.
About their impending wedding, it was said that "They haven't decided the date. They are really enjoying this moment."
This will be Kroeger's first marriage, while it will be the second time for Lavigne to walk down the aisle. She was previously married to Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley. The pair divorced in 2009 after three years of marriage.
