Just like the Bachchans, the Deols are said to be very private people and have always been subtle and kept their family events under wraps.
Well, June 29 is the big day for Esha Deol and her parents, veteran actors Hema Malini and Dharmendra. Bollywood actress Esha will tie the knot with fiancé Bharat Tahtani on June 29 at a temple in Mumbai . The duo has been dating for quite some time now and has finally decided to get hitched.
The engagement ceremony at their residence in February this year was a surprise and now the big wedding will also be a hush-hush affair. The family certainly doesn't believe in much pomp and show and hence the wedding will take place at a temple in suburban Mumbai.
"It is not possible to have the wedding at our home. We chose a temple because it is a perfect place for matrimony," said Hema Malini to a national daily.
"We are very happy and excited. The preparations have started. The wedding will take place on June 29 at a temple," the ecstatic mother of the bride, gushed.
The wedding will be a private affair with not many B-town celebs on the guest list. "We want the wedding to be a comparatively private affair with relatives and close friends from both sides in attendance," confirmed Hema.
The low key wedding will be held on 29th and family Sangeet ceremony a day before. A grand reception at a luxury hotel in Mumbai on June 30 is in store for the family.
"We both lead a double life. We are actors and politicians. So we'll have lots of guests at the reception from the film industry and politics," said Hema.
"The reception will take place on June 30 at a five star hotel. We just want best wishes and love from everyone."
Bride's father Dharmendra is presently in US and is expected to fly down in a few days to bless the couple.
"Mine was a very quiet wedding, with no shor-sharaba. I want an elaborate wedding for my daughter. Dharamji and I need everyone's good wishes," Hema said.
About the wedding plans of the to-be-bride, Esha said in an earlier interview that like every other girl she wants a perfect wedding with her prince charming. "A wedding happens only once in our life, so I want it to be perfect," she had said.
She talked about how her life has completely changed after meeting Bharat. "Today, I am in a fulfilling relationship and thanks to Bharat I'm doing so many normal things, which I could never do as an actress," she had said in an interview post-engagement.
"Things like walking out of the car and stepping into the street, going to the movies, etc."
"I felt claustrophobic when I was an actress, because I was always thinking, 'What would people say/ write?' He is such a lively and outgoing person and let me be normal," Esha said.
Esha is on a long break from filming these days and is busy doing wedding preparations.
