Vidhu Vinod Chopra's film "Wazir" is one of the most awaited films. The film features Farhan Akhtar, Amitabh Bachchan, Neil Nitin Mukesh and John Abraham in important roles.
But the lead actors are not the heroes of the film. According to the makers, it is writer Abhijat Joshi who is main hero of "Wazir".
Producer Chopra said that he has paid a huge amount to writer Abhijat to pen the script of "Wazir".
Abhijat has previously penned the scripts of blockbusters, including "Munna Bhai MBBS", "3 Idiots" and "PK".
He has been paid a huge figure for "Wazir", directed by Bejoy Nambiar. Apparently, Abhijat has been paid up to Rs 2 crore, which is a huge amount for script writers. Writers in Bollywood are paid relatively less for writing scripts, but Abhijat has broken the trend.
"I think writers, just like directors, are the most important people in the film-making process when it comes to putting out a good product. Our audience is intelligent, and good content that is entertaining, is what drives them to the theatres. I feel that writers deserve to be paid well, and that's all that I've done with Abhijat," producer Chopra said.
Written by Abhijaat and directed by Bejoy Nambiar, the film is a power-packed action entertainer. Farhan will be seen doing action scenes for the first time alongside superstar Amitabh Bachchan.
The trailer was released on 18 November and the film will be released on 8 January.
